Doom is a rune word which provides Level 12 Holy Freeze aura. It is mostly used by Act 2 Mercenaries on Polearms to make up for a combo of Holy Freeze + Might for example. Some melee druid builds are also using it in a Thunder Maul or Berserker Axe base. Doom can achieve 1000+ max damage in Cryptic Axe and Colossus Voulge. It also provides - To Enemy Cold resistances but builds that would benefit from that will have hard time wearing the base items. There are certain Cold Sorceress builds that utilize this in a one handed Ettin Axe for example. However, it is an expansive rune word because of the Charm Rune requirement. |
