With these recipes you can upgrade your Runes. It is quite expensive to upgrade higher runes but if in dire need you might have to do it

Token of AbsolutionToken of Absolution Combine one of each 4 essences into the cube and Transmute. The Token of Absolution can be used to reset both skill tree and character stats. Consumed on use. Can repeat as many times as you want as long as you have essences

like chipped,flawed and etc.

One of the most used recipes in the game because it's the easiest way to obtain Perfect gems

Potions

3 x 1 x Very useful recipe. Unnecessary small rejuv can be transmuted to Full
3 Health Potions + 3 x Mana Potions + 1 x Standard Gem like 1 x
This is also a useful recipe becausae you can basically buy the potions from the vendors and you just need the normal type gem.
Any potions would do, even Minor!

Rings & Amulets

3 Magic Rings (Blue) 1 Random Magic Amulet You can't make +2 x skill amulets. If you transmute rings make sure that you are using blue rings found in high level zones on Hell

6 Perfect Gems (1 from each type) + 1 x Amulet (blue any kind) Prismatic Amulet 16-20 all resistance Amulet. Prismatic is a prefix so you can get a good suffix too. like "Of Squid" +80 life

Socketing

3 Flawless Gems + 1 x Magic Weapon Socketed Magic Weapon This will reset prefixes and suffixes of the item you will get new stats
1 x + 1 x + 1 x + Normal Weapon Socketed Normal Weapon of same type This is a very important recipe. Used to socket items so Runewords can be used. Resulted sockets are random from the min-max range of the weapon type. Ethereal is ok(?)
1 x + + Any Socketed Item Remove sockets from the item Used for accidental sockets. The gems/jewels inside the item are destroyed

Important! The so called "eBugged"

Ebugging is a bug where by using the normal recipe to socket an armor or a shield on ethereal item (which has 1.5 defense of the normal base) causes the ethereal 1.5 bonus to apply again. 1.5x 1.5x = 2.25x the base defense of a non-ethereal armor

+ Secret Cow Level You must have completed the game and killed Diablo (Baal, if you're playing the Expansion) and you MUST be in the Rogue Encampment (Act I) and the difficulty level of the current game MUST be the same as the one that you have completed (if you have completed a normal level game, you must start a normal level game, if you have completed a nightmare level game, you must start a nightmare game). Have in mind that you if you kill the Cow King you can no longer enter so skip him if you want repeatable Cow Level

This is usually done if you are stuck with a normal or exceptional Unique item as best in slot but you want better stats. If the item is socketed and has runes or jewels inside - they will remain intact. If the item is ethereal, it says Ethereal
