Breath of the Dying is one of the most powerful Rune Words in the entire game. It provides strong melee damage and is possibly achieveing the highest damage output in Diablo 2. This comes at the cost of requiring a Zod Rune which is arguably, the most rare item in the game. Considering that it requires Zod, this means that the rune word is a perfect choice for base items which are ethereal, because they will become Indestructible. Sometimes these base items are also extremely difficult to obtain as the base should be a 6 Socketed ethereal weapon. Popular choices are Colossus Blade or Colossus Sword, Berseker Axe and Thunder Maul (Max Damage goes as high as 1300+). Some implementations include Pikes with some Amazon builds.
