Diablo 2 Gems

In Diablo 2 the gems are items that can be socketed into items with open sockets (holes). There are 7 types of gems in the game - Diamoinds, Rubies, Sapphires, Topazes, Emeralds, Amethysts, Skulls and they come in 5 different qualities - Chipped, Flawed, Normal, Flawless, Perfect, each with better stats. Perfect gems are only obtained through Horadric Cube transmutting or through the Hellfore Quest in Act 4 and cannot drop from monsters.
