Monsters in Diablo 2 are generally grouped by types and families collectively known as Monster Beastiary. We can sort monsters under Acts but that's not entirely a fair way to do it. A family of monsters can have members across different acts. Let's take Zombies for example. We can find different type of Zombies in Act 1, Act 2 and Act 3.
